Smile dental practice private Guarantee

All fillings placed by our dentists are guaranteed for a minimum of 2 years. Our crowns, bridges veneers and implant restorations are guaranteed for a minimum of 5 years.

These guarantees are conditional on the following:

• Regular visits to the dentists for routine dental examination as recommended (1-2 times a year) and regular visits to the hygienist as prescribed (2-4 times a year).
• Splint wearing as recommended by your dentist e.g. for complex crown and bridge work, or veneers on anterior teeth to help protect from destructive grinding habits.
• Wearing of mouth guards for contact sports.

The guarantees do not cover the following:

• Damage to any restoration due to external trauma.
• Failure to adhere to good home care and hygiene.
• Any restoration that was provided against the specific advice of the dentist.

Payments & Charges

To help you decide about your treatment, we will give you an estimate of the cost. Sometimes this cost may be modified if your treatment changes according to clinical need. Payments can be made in instalments during the course of your treatment by cash, cheque or credit card .For long courses of treatment a 50% deposit is usually required at the commencement of treatment.

We accept cash, cheque, and most major credit and debit cards (Visa, MasterCard, Maestro, Switch, and Electron). We also provide our “Smile Payment Plan”. This enables you to spread the cost of your payment over 12 months on an interest free basis (subject to status and for treatments over £500). Please ask a member of our reception team for further details.

Accident and Emergency Cover

Our surgery hours should cover most times that you need to see a dentist in an emergency situation. However if you require urgent advice out of hours simply call the main practice number to obtain an emergency telephone number for the dentist on call. Please note that if we do need to open the surgery out of hours a charge will be made.

Appointment Scheduling

We understand that you have a busy schedule and recognize the need to provide an efficient service. We will make every effort to see you at your scheduled appointment time.

There will be no charge for changing your appointment provided that we are given at least 24 hours notice for dentist appointments and 48 hours notice for hygienist appointments. We will charge for missed appointments or late cancellations. This allows us to run efficiently and keep our fees at a reasonable level for you.
