Dr Melissa Patel is one of our Dental associates who is qualified in facial aesthetics and has trained with some of the best trainers. Her main objective is to create a natural, subtle and youthful look. She uses the best quality injectables such as Botulinum toxin, Maili and Teoxane. Melissa can create a bespoke treatment plan with you to tackle those problem areas.
“I’ve been interested in all things beauty for as long as I can remember. And so, combining that with my skills as a dentist was a natural career progression for me. People are often surprised this is a service I offer but to me it makes total sense. As a dentist. I have in depth knowledge of facial anatomy and I use this knowledge on a daily basis. Along with this dentists are advanced injectors. In fact I hold a needle in my hand more than I do a pen! Alongside these skills, and outside of dentistry, I have a keen eye for beauty and have personally worked as a makeup artist. So, combining the two things that I love to do was an easy decision for me and I truly feel it gives me that edge on knowing how to make my patients feel happy.

Botox treatment is a non-surgical procedure which smooths the persistent, deep lines between your brows, that will develop over time. It is a straight forward procedure that usually takes around 10-15 minutes. This quick and simple procedure can be done during a lunch break due to the minimal down time.
Botulinum toxin treatment isn’t just used for wrinkles and fine lines, it can also be used to help with “gummy smiles” and TMJ issues. We see a lot of patients who have had ongoing TMJ issues and Melissa injects Botox into the masseters to help relax the jaw muscles, meaning you are less likely to grind or clench your teeth. An advantage of this treatment is that your face will appear “slimmer” as the muscle relaxes and decreases in size.
